Following last night’s terrorist attack in Manchester, all campaigning is suspended at every level.
The Prime Minister will chair a meeting of the Government’s COBRA committee this morning. She said earlier that the Government is working to establish the full details of what is being treated by the police as an appalling terrorist attack.
All our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and the families of those who have been affected at this most difficult of times.
There is a vigil outside the Guildhall at 11am. There will be no political speeches, just an opportunity for Cambridge to come together in light of this awful attack.
With the funeral of our dear friend Lili Barrett-Payton in two days’ time, this is a very sad week.
