Conservative Open PPC Selection

What is this? – The Conservatives in Cambridge are selecting a new PPC by using the well proven open selection process, which in effect give YOU, the voters of Cambridge the chance to select and choose your Conservative General Election Candidate

Why is it happening? – Our previous PPC (Richard Normington) stood down earlier this year and therefore we have a vacancy

What does this mean? – Often candidate selection is a private process, which only includes Party members being able to vote for the candidate which is the method that we have used before. This time, we want a more open and inclusive process and would like to involve YOU, the Cambridge electorate, to join in with candidate selection

What is the process? – We hope to publish a short-list of candidate names, biographies and what they can bring to being our MP. Then, we will hold an open public meeting when EVERYONE that is a registered voter for Cambridge City can come along, hear our candidates speak, ask questions and vote for the best person to represent YOU

What is the time-table? – Candidates are applying now and the Conservative team are producing a short-list by the end of this month. We will then advertise the candidates details, publish the public meeting venue details and on the 12th December YOU can come along and vote

How do I learn more? – The Cambridge Conservative team can give you an update and we will also publish more details on our website – www.cambridgeconservatives.co.uk. All our contact details are there too, along with how to join us.
