 | Lib Dem Behind Demand for Massive Expansion of Cambridge |
 |
Today’s Independent reports that a think tank, Policy Exchange, is calling on people to move from the north and for massive house building in places like Cambridge. Reading carefully, the report was co-authored by a top adviser and activist for the Liberal Democrats.
City Conservative Parliamentary Spokesman, Richard Normington, commented,
“Think tanks are here to provoke debate and gain publicity”
“The Liberal Democrat who co-authored the report does not understand fully the impact of the demands placed on Cambridge now.”
“There are already govermment imposed targets for homes in our area that are both unrealistic and unwanted. The report certainly does not reflect Conservative Party policy and we do not agree with its conclusions.”
